Privacy Policy

Step Gazelle does not collect your data. There is no account, there is no server, and nothing you record in the app is transmitted anywhere. This page explains what that means in specific terms.

Health data

Step Gazelle reads your step counts from Apple Health, with your permission, and it reads them only. The app never writes to Apple Health and never modifies your health records. You can withdraw permission at any time in the Health app, under Sharing → Apps.

Your step history is not stored by the app. Apple Health remains the source of truth, and Step Gazelle reads what it needs, when it needs it, holding it only for as long as it takes to draw the screen you are looking at.

What the app stores, and where

Step Gazelle stores a small amount of its own state — your goal settings, which days you have excused, your streak, and the summary its widget displays. All of it lives in a private container on your device, shared only between the app and its own widget. It is included in your device backups, which are yours. It is never uploaded.

What we do not do

• No user accounts, no sign-in, no email address collected.
• No servers. The app has no backend to send anything to.
• No analytics, no crash reporting, no telemetry, no usage tracking.
• No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
• No third-party SDKs of any kind. The app is built entirely from Apple's own frameworks.
• No data is sold, shared, or disclosed, because none is collected.

Purchases

Step Gazelle offers a one-time premium unlock, handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; the app never sees your payment details, and no purchase information leaves your device beyond what Apple itself requires to complete the sale.

Children

Step Gazelle is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Because the app collects nothing, we do not anticipate changes that would affect you.
